Hi, I’m Mihai Ducea

I am a tectonic petrologist -  I focus on a variety of tectonics problems from subduction related (magmatism, subduction erosion, delamination) to extension and collision of the continents. I investigate magma bodies, sutures, transform faults, and metamorphism in collisional belts among others. I am part of a group at U Bucharest where we are excited about everything geology, we love what we do, and on behalf on all my colleagues, friends, students, we invite you to visit and work with us!
